The 8th St. Galler Wound Care Symposium will take place on March 14, 2024. This symposium aims to create opportunities to implement better and more efficient cooperation in wound care through professionalism and interdisciplinarity. Educational workshops will take place in the morning, while the afternoon will feature four fascinating presentations by renowned speakers. The SSA has accredited the symposium with 6 credits.

Workshop Endovenous thermal ablation of varicosis

March 14, 2024, Cantonal Hospital Aarau

The Workshop will be held by the Clinic for Angiology of Aarau. The training is focused on the endovenous thermal ablation of varicosis, but the complete spectrum of endovenous therapy will be addressed. The SSA has accredited the workshop with 3.5 credits.

The Cardiology Review Course, Zurich is attended by speakers from almost all the major clinics in Switzerland, which ensures a wide variety of topics and promotes excellent interaction between the centers and the medical experts. The course is accredited with 8 SSA-credits.

Aortic 360: Basic Aortic Seminar

March 22-23, 2024, Winterthur

The Aortic Association is an independent interdisciplinary scientific platform focusing on continuing medical education in aortic medicine. The course offers knowledge and skills to perform standard open and endovascular access procedures for classical surgery as well as for EVAR, TEVAR, and f/bEVAR. The SSA has accredited the course with 10 credits.

The 2024 of the International Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH), Congress is scheduled for June 22-26, 2024 in Bankong. Abstract submission and registration will open in December 2023. Check back soon for details.

SGUM Congress 2024

June 27-29, 2024, Davos

From June 27 - 29, 2024, the SGUM Congress will take place at the Davos Congress Center. An exciting and varied program represents all sections of the SGUM and is aimed at practicing ultrasonographers - from primary care GPs to emergency physicians. The practical and theoretical sessions offer a good opportunity for intensive professional exchange and learning from each other. The SSA accredits the training course with 5 credits: 1 credit  for the practical part on Thursday and on Friday 4 credits for the lectures of the vascular section.

2. Angiology Refresher 2024

September 12-14, 2024, Lausanne

Held over two days, this comprehensive course covers the highlights of the Angiology curriculum. This course provides a review of state-of-the-art practices to diagnose and treat patients with vascular diseases. It also offers a networking opportunity among young Angiologists all over Switzerland and with senior leading angiologists. Since the 2023 Angiology Refresher Course 2023 was very successful, another course will be held in fall 2024 in Lausanne.

DGA 2024

September 19-21,2024, Leipzig

The 53rd Annual Meeting of the German Society of Angiology - Society for Vascular Medicine e.V. and the 8th DGA Intervention Congress will take place in Leipzig next September. In addition to the medical challenges, new political and economic conditions are leading to a further increase in complexity for all professionals involved. However, modern tools such as artificial intelligence, robotics and virtually supported diagnostics and treatment options are increasingly helping us to meet these new challenges and offer new treatment options, and the 2024 annual conference will be organized in line with these new framework conditions and opportunities.
